Overview

Compresto sends a macOS notification when compression finishes, telling you how many files were saved and where. Click the notification to reveal the files in Finder. If compression fails, you get a failure notification instead.

Only Notify in the Background

If you’re watching Compresto while it works, you may not need a notification as well.

Open Settings > General

Turn on Only show notification when switched to other apps
With this on, the success notification only appears when you’ve switched to another app. Failure notifications always appear.
To turn off notifications completely, go to System Settings > Notifications > Compresto.
