Overview

Compresto keeps a history of your compressed files, with a running total of how much space you’ve saved.

Open History

  • Press ⌘Y
  • Or choose Compression history from the Compresto menu
  • Or choose History from the menu bar icon

What You’ll See

  • Total compressed files and Total reduced size across all your compressions
  • For each file: the original and compressed size, and how much was saved (in size and percent)
Click an item to show it in Finder.

Large Histories

History loads the newest items first and loads more as you scroll. Use the Show picker next to Latest compression to choose how many items load at a time: 50, 100 (default), 200, or 500.

Turn Off History

Turn off Keep compression history in the History window to stop recording.
Turning off history also clears your existing history.
History is stored locally on your Mac and never uploaded.
