Compresto Black Friday 2026: 40% Off Every Plan with Code BFCM26

By Hieu Dinh

Compresto Black Friday 2026: The Short Version

Our Compresto Black Friday deal is live: 40% off every plan with the code BFCM26, until December 1, 2026.

  • Works on all plans: both lifetime licenses and all three subscriptions.
  • Lifetime licenses from $29.40: pay once, keep it forever, get every future update.
  • Subscriptions 40% off your first payment: $11.40 for your first year of Personal, then the regular price on renewal.
  • Ends December 1, 2026: the code stops working after that.
  • How to use it: pick a plan on the pricing page, then enter BFCM26 at checkout.
  • Risk-free: every purchase comes with a 3-day money-back guarantee.

This is the biggest discount we're running this year. If you've had Compresto on your list, or you've been squeezing files through a browser tool one at a time, now is the cheapest time to get it.

Black Friday Prices for Every Plan

Here's what each plan costs with BFCM26 applied:

PlanMacsBillingRegular priceWith BFCM26
Personal (Lifetime)1One-time$49$29.40
Standard (Lifetime)2One-time$69$41.40
Lite1Monthly$7/month$4.20 first month
Personal1Yearly$19/year$11.40 first year
Standard2Yearly$29/year$17.40 first year

The code applies once. For lifetime licenses that's the whole price, so the saving is permanent. For subscriptions it covers your first month or first year, and renewals are billed at the regular price.

Every plan includes the full app. There are no feature tiers: the only differences are how many Macs you can activate and whether you pay once or on a schedule.

The Standard lifetime license is already discounted from its $98 list price, so with BFCM26 on top you're paying $41.40 for two Macs, for life. That's less than the regular price of a single Personal license.

How to Redeem Code BFCM26

  1. Go to the Compresto pricing page.
  2. Choose One-time purchase or Subscription at the top.
  3. Click Get Started on the plan you want.
  4. At checkout, enter BFCM26 in the discount code field and apply it. You should see the 40% come off the total before you pay.
  5. Complete the purchase. Your license key arrives by email (check your spam folder if it doesn't show up within a few minutes).
  6. Open Compresto, go to Settings > License, and paste your key to activate.

Tip: the banner at the top of every page on compresto.app has a copy button next to the code, so you don't have to type it.

Which Plan Should You Pick?

All plans unlock the same features, so the choice comes down to two questions.

How many Macs do you use?

  • One Mac: Personal or Lite.
  • Two Macs (say a MacBook for travel and an iMac or Mac Studio at your desk): Standard.

Licenses aren't locked to one machine forever. If you replace your Mac, go to Settings > License > Unlink Device on the old one and activate on the new one.

Do you want to pay once or pay as you go?

  • Lifetime is the best long-term value. At $29.40 for Personal, it costs about the same as a year and a half of the Personal yearly plan at regular price, and you never pay again.
  • Yearly gets you started for the lowest upfront cost, though the discount only covers the first year.
  • Monthly (Lite) makes sense if you only need Compresto for a short project, like compressing footage for a single video edit or cleaning up a client's image library.

Our recommendation: if you compress files more than a couple of times a month, take the lifetime license. Because it's a single payment, it's the only plan where the 40% saving lasts forever.

What You Get with Compresto

If you're new here: Compresto is a native macOS app that makes videos, images, GIFs, PDFs and EPUBs smaller without visible quality loss. Everything runs on your Mac, so your files never get uploaded anywhere.

Compress anything, in batches

Drop in a folder of 4K clips, a few hundred product photos, or a scanned PDF, and Compresto works through the whole queue. It handles MP4, MOV and other common video formats; JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF, SVG and TIFF images; PDFs; and EPUB books.

Fast, because it uses your Mac's hardware

Video compression uses Apple's VideoToolbox hardware encoders and native Apple Silicon FFmpeg, so a long screen recording or a phone video shrinks in a fraction of the time a browser tool takes. It runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 13 or later.

Set it and forget it

  • Drop Zone: drag files onto a floating drop target and they're compressed instantly, without opening the main window.
  • Folder monitoring: point Compresto at your Downloads or Screenshots folder and new files are compressed automatically.
  • Clipboard auto-compress: copy an image and paste a smaller one.
  • Presets and per-file overrides: save your favorite settings, then tweak a single file without changing the rest of the batch.

Recent updates included in every plan

The last few releases added a lot, and every plan gets all of it:

  • Target file size for images: tell Compresto "under 500KB" and it finds the right quality for you. Handy for upload forms, job applications and listing sites. (v1.30)
  • EPUB compression: shrink the images inside ebooks while keeping the text and fonts untouched. (v1.31)
  • Six languages: use Compresto in English, German, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese or Simplified Chinese. (v1.31)
  • Offline AI renaming: give compressed files descriptive names using a local model through Ollama, with nothing sent to the cloud. (v1.29)
  • Metadata that survives: Finder tags, modification dates and image print resolution are kept after compression. (v1.28)

Lifetime license holders get every future update too, with no upgrade fees.

Who This Deal Is For

  • Video creators and editors who need to send large exports to clients or upload to platforms with size caps. See our guide on how to send large video files.
  • Designers and developers shipping images for the web, where every kilobyte affects page speed.
  • Anyone hitting attachment limits in Gmail, Slack or Discord and tired of compressing files one at a time in a browser tab.
  • People running low on disk space who want to shrink a photo library or screen recording folder without deleting anything.
  • Privacy-conscious users who don't want to upload personal videos or documents to an online compressor.

Not Sure Yet? Try It Before You Buy

You can compress an image online for free, with no signup, to see the kind of results Compresto gets.
